Who should you listen to and
get business advice
from? Who can give you the business help, business advice and
the emotional support you need to succeed in business?
Let's be brutally honest here… to succeed in business
you can't do everything yourself. Like it or not, at some point
you will need business help and business
advice from others.
So think about the people you know - friends, family, business
associates. Who amongst them can show you how to succeed in
business? Who can give you the right business
advice to help you achieve your business goals? Who would
you gladly pay $10,000 to, in return that they reveal their
secrets of how to succeed in business?
Ask yourself - Who should you allow to influence your thinking?
The important thing in business is to listen to the right people.
If your goal is to become financially independent, then is it
best to rely on the business advice of someone who has never
achieved that goal? Think about that for a moment.
Friends and family are often well intentioned, but have they
aspired to much, or do they spend their lives watching instead
of doing? Some of them may never have paid the price to succeed
in business...and they probably never will.
Can they give you business
help, give you good business advice and the emotional support
you need to succeed in business? Can they teach you business
skills, give you the business knowledge and the business guidance
you need to succeed in business? Can they show you how to become
financially independent?
Now I don't mean any disrespect to family or friends. It is
just that we all have different areas of interest and expertise.
Think about this honestly. If you turn to them for business
help or business
advice, can they really tell you how to succeed in business?
Exactly how can they help? What sound business advice can they
give you? Is their business experience what you need to succeed
in business?
The point I'm making is; your friends and family all want the
best for you. Their motives and intentions are good, but like
all of us, they see the world through their own fears, faults,
and failures... they are guided by their own feelings.
No man is an island. There will be times when friends and family
can be of great help, but be careful seeking business help and
taking business
advice if they have not already experienced what you are
setting out to achieve.
Know who to rely on. Think of who might know how to succeed
in business. Seek business
help and business
advice from the right people... be a self-starter and take
control of your own destiny.
I believe we can learn more about how to succeed in business
from the experience of others than we have time on this earth
to discover for ourselves. The key is to seek business advice
from the right people.
Keep an open mind and find a way to learn from those who have
already been there. Trust the advice of those people who have
had success in business, above those who haven't experienced
what you want to do.
Above all; listen, learn and always put ultimate trust in yourself.
